The natural swimming pools are opened zones in the reefs where it is possible to swim calmly in the low tide, protected from the waves and currents. All have a sandy bottom, with crystalline water unless it is windy. To the first swimming pool, three hundred meters from the Inn, with depth of little more than a meter, called “aquarium”, due to the variety of docile fish that will come to eat from your hand. Located in front of the Pousada Porto da Lua, it is necessary to walk about twenty meters by reefs to reach the aquarium. The second swimming pool, 400 ms after the aquarium, is called "of the Lord", as it is located in front of the house constructed by an English Lord. Drink salesmen, with parasols and chairs, usually are in that zone of the beach. It is not necessary to walk on reefs because it is in the sea shore and it is only a meter in depth. The third swimming pool, called “Blue Lagoon”, 500 ms after the Lord, is between one and two meters in depth, also in the sea shore. The fourth swimming pool, badly called “Papagente” (eaten people) is shortly after the Blue Lagoon, but at about fifteen meters from the sand. It is a windy pool of about 30 by ten meters, five meters in depth, wonderful to dive without snorkels. To the north, nine kilometers of coconuts palms and desert beaches, until you arrive at Imbassai River, opened to the sea. But pay attention: about two kilometers beyond Papagente, there is a beach, of thirty meters in length, between two immense stones. That place, of placid aspect, is the true “eaten people”, very dangerous owing to strong cross currents , originated by underground water. There are warning posters, although they are sometimes not seen or disregarded due to the charm of the beach.
