The
Pousada dos Artistas is characterized by the creativity in the contemporary
interpretation of a traditional and cosy architecture, oriented
to inspire calm and simple privacy. In effect, despite certain modern
details of the new wing, like the tempered glass showers, the air
conditioning or the televisions (Brazilian channels), this equipment
does not dominate the atmosphere; to the contrary, they are integrated
by the lines, materials, textures and details from the time of Garcia
D'Ávila, the founder of the Praia do Forte Castle, a humanism
that we could call "neo-rustic". It is necessary to emphasize
the wonderful view that can be enjoyed from the terraces and windows
of all the suites, whether it is of the woods in front of the inn,
where the monkeys come to visit the excellent breakfast served in
the hall, or the water coming from the fountain, the coconut palms
and the turf of the lovly garden. In the shade of the ficus, listening
to sound of the water coming down, are you going to prefer to begin
the day with a relaxing massage, executed by well qualified professionals,
or to ease up in the hammock to read a book? But where? In this
shade or that, on the table under that regional fruit tree, or to
get tanned in the grass? No way! The sun at the beach, that’s
for sure! Ah, it is so near… |
